Crystal C. Murray
Dr. Crystal is the practice owner. She has loved animals of all shapes, sizes, and species for her entire life. Dr. Crystal has always had a passion to care for and heal pets. She has owned many dogs, cats, horses, and pocket pets over the years. She has lived in many countries, but attended undergraduate and veterinary school in the U.S. Dr. Crystal graduated from Cornell Veterinary University in 1996. She and her family moved from New Jersey to Upstate New York in 2006 and opened Country Valley Veterinary Clinic in 2010. Professionally, Dr. Crystal enjoys urgent care, internal medicine, dermatology and ultrasound, but particularly gravitates towards practice management these days. In her spare time, Dr. Crystal loves hiking with her dogs, Loki and Willoughby, riding her horse, Smokey, reading a book with one of her four cats curled up on her lap, cooking elaborate meals, skiing alone or with family and friends, and doing almost anything outside and active!
Dr. Stacey joined our team in 2015. She graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Dr. Stacey grew up in southern Illinois on a large farm where she developed a love for agriculture and animals! She would often be found as a little girl playing with the barn kittens. That deep love of animals is exactly the reason she decided to become a veterinarian. At CVVC, Dr. Stacey especially enjoys surgery, ultrasound, and even specializes in pot-bellied pigs! Really – she loves anything with a smush face – she has a Pug and an English bulldog of her own! Dr. Stacey and her husband made the move from Illinois to New York after she graduated veterinary school, fueled by their love of the Northeast. Being from the flatlands of Illinois, they both love mountains and adventure out to hike, ski and explore often. They – along with 3 dogs, a cat, and their two young girls – reside in Ballston Spa, NY.
Dr. Stephanie Rogers joined CVVC in the spring of 2019. She grew up in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. She received her undergraduate degree from Creighton University in Nebraska, and then graduate from the University of California Davis Veterinary School in 2013. She worked in the San Francisco Bay area for five and a half years before moving to New York. Dr. Rogers has a special interest in canine rehabilitation and osteoarthritis management. She spends her free time with her husband chasing after their two sons. They enjoy hiking and exploring all the area has to offer. They share their home with a hyperactive Lab named Vincent and a cranky cat named Luna.
Dr. Kelly Spence joined the CVVC team in the Summer of 2020. She received her undergraduate degree from the College of Saint Rose and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2011. Before coming to CVVC, Dr. Spence practiced in the Capital District for 7 years.
Dr. Spence is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and has a special interest in all things cats. In her free time, Dr. Kelly enjoys jogging, reading, and drinking lots of coffee. She shares her home with her husband, three children, and mischievous cat Bumble.
Dr. Katelyn Pugliese grew up in Merrick, NY and currently resides in Delanson, NY. She received an undergraduate degree from SUNY Cobleskill and earned a DVM degree from Ontario Veterinary College in 2018. Although she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, Dr. Katelyn has particular interest in preventative health care and parasitology.
Outside of veterinary practice, Dr. Pugliese enjoys skiing, hiking, and boating. She also shares her home with two dogs, Bailey and Howie, as well as a highland cow named Abby.
Audrey joined our team in 2013 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician who graduated with an A.A.S in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Delhi in 2001. She was interested in the veterinary field at a very young age because of her love of animals. It wasn’t until she was licensed that she understood how important her role as an advocate for the patients would be.
Audrey has had many wonderful pets through the years. She currently has three cats; Jarvis, Charles, and Crispen. She also has a guinea pig named Caesar.
Audrey grew up locally and now resides in Johnstown with her husband and two daughters. In her free time she enjoys camping, crafting/scrapbooking, and taking trips to the ocean.
Amber is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She joined our team in the early spring of 2018. Amber started her career in the veterinary field in 2002 as a kennel worker in Glenville. She then attended the SUNY Delhi animal science technology program, graduating in 2007. Amber chose to work in veterinary medicine because of her love of animals and her desire to help them.
Amber grew up in Scotia where most of her family still resides. Through the years she had many different kinds of pets including cats, reptiles, fish and rodents. Currently she has 4 cats.
In the Summer Amber likes to travel to New Hampshire and camp in the woods. She also likes to do crafts and to bake for her family.
Janelle joined CVVC in June of 2021. In 2017 she received a B.S. in Biology at Ithaca College, then returned to school at SUNY Delhi where she received an A.A.S. in Veterinary Science Technology. She is now a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Her love for animals and passion for veterinary medicine started at a young age. She gained experience throughout high school and college working at local clinics as a kennel hand, receptionist and veterinary assistant. In her free time, Janelle enjoys camping, hiking and paddle boarding with her boyfriend and dog Annie.
Rory joined CVVC in 2020 and soon hopes to join our team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians! She studied Mathematics at Indiana University and is currently pursuing her A.S. in Veterinary Technology at St. Petersburg College. She has 2 cats, Sloan and Rage, and a dog named Kida. In the summer, she spends her free time hiking and kayaking with her pup. She is passionate about traveling and Lord of the Rings marathons. She hopes to continue helping animals and their owners live healthier, happier lives!
Brittany is a veterinary assistant who has been in the small animal field for over 12 years. She received her associate’s degree in Web Design from Hudson Valley Community College, but her heart has always been with animals. Brittany has been with us since the beginning (2010) as it was forming and there is no where she would rather be! Her beloved fur family includes her two cats Peggy and Fargus, and her two rescue Pit Bull Terriers Petey and Jenny (AKA Momma). When she is not at the clinic, you can find her volunteering with the rescue organization Out of the Pits Inc., spending time with her pets, fishing, boating, camping, or hiking in the Adirondacks.
Anne Marie Dame Hallum
Anne Marie joined Country Valley Veterinary Clinic part-time in 2011 and enjoys seeing all the interesting pets that are taken care of there. She has a degree in Business and has worked in the field for many years. Anne Marie lives in Stillwater with her husband and two rescue dogs, Max and Summer.
When she is not working at one of her many jobs, Anne Marie enjoys spending time with her husband and her three boys and their significant others. When they all get together they like to do outdoor activities. The family goes boating in the summer and they particularly enjoy hiking, fishing, and camping together. They also very much enjoy an annual vacation in North Carolina. In the winter months Anne Marie likes to cross country ski or snow shoe.
